Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a national information system designed to provide users with ready access to an extensive body of education-related literature. ERIC, established in 1966, is supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Research and Improvement, and the National Library of Education. National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. This is the organization responsible for administering and analyzing National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as the Nation's Report Card. The Regional Education Laboratory Network maintains a website with information about the designated specialty areas of each of the nation's ten educational laboratories (such as: research and practice in assessment, curriculum and instruction, family and community involvement, etc.) The site also includes a searchable database of products developed by the labs such as Critical Issue: Infusing Prevention into the Curriculum. The Southwest Educational Development Laboratory maintains a website that features a broad array of resources on topics such as school improvement, community engagement, classroom instruction, and diversity — including information about the Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration (CSRD) Program. The Texas Education Agency maintains a website that includes school rating and performance figures as well as information related to curriculum and assessment, specific educational programs, accountability and accreditation, school finance and grants. The U.S. Department of Education maintains a website with a wide array of content-specific education resources, education research and statistics, and information on grants and contracts.
